About

Like many readers in my age group, I originally became interested in the X-books because of the original X-Men: The Animated Series. I immediately fell for Rogue because of her humor, her amazing powers, and — let’s face it — the intriguing angst of caused by her powers. I watched the series for a couple of years before purchasing my first comic, dithering on whether I was prepared to make the ongoing financial commitment to collecting comics.

My first issue was X-Men 33, purchased at a local supermarket. Because it was my first book, it’s in terrible condition, having initially been stored in a gallon-sized Ziploc back along with 10-12 other issues. I continued collecting through high school, eventually abandoning the hobby in college for lack of funds. I graduated from Louisiana State University in 2003 and am still not quite caught up on what I missed during my hiatus.

portraitI graduated from Louisiana State University in 2003 with a B.S. in Information Systems and am currently employed as a VB.NET developer. As a blog author and comic book fan, it goes without saying that I’m a real geek. My interests include playing World of Warcraft, reading X-Men comic books, and watching a number of television series. I also enjoy rocking out on the mic or guitar in the privacy of my own home (or the home of someone I trust not to post video of me on Youtube).
